Come enjoy your last bike ride before Christmas on 23rd of December 2017 in the beautiful coastal town of Still Bay, during one of the most popular and beautiful mountain bike races, the Windpomp Sherry Challenge.

What makes the Windpomp Sherry Challenge so special and enjoyable is the scenic 50km and 100km route along the Goukou River, through the Sandveld, nature reserves and also private property that is usually not accessible to the public. Mountain bikers, from beginners to the more experienced cyclist, can enjoy beautiful scenery, unique fynbos, wildlife and birdlife along the route.

The 50 km route is an excellent route to sharpen your fitness or to undertake your first official mountain bike race. It's a relatively easy and safe route with some challenging ups and downs and one reasonable climb. Climb 626m and descend 500m.

The 100 km route is specifically designed for the more experienced and competitive mountain bikers and compares to any good day on the bike in the Joburg2C, the Epic or the Attakwas. The riders can look forward to fast-moving roads, customized single tracks, a huge downhill, bridges, technical turns and many more. Climb 1100m and downhill 970m.

The Windpomp Cherry Challenge is not just a race, it's also a family day, with a farm and Christmas market, food stalls and music for everyone to enjoy!
